LOCAL INFORMATION

 
The village of Rudyard is set in glorious countryside and is most famous for the two and a half mile long lake that runs North Westerly from the village. The lake originally built to supply water to the Caldon and the Trent & Mersey canals have always been a popular tourist attraction and many people visit to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

 Just a short drive from the village there is the market town of Leek, the Roaches, very popular with climbers and walkers, Tittesworth Reservoir with its visitor centre and large children's play area and further a field you have the Alton Towers Theme Park (approx 20 minutes drive).

 The towns of Buxton, Macclesfield, Congleton and Ashbourne with their various attractions are all fifteen to twenty minutes drive from the Hotel.
